Folly Wood is an attractive woodland extending to approximately 13.37 acres (5.41 ha). It is set in level and sloping topography with a wide variety of native ancient woodland species interspersed with open glades creating an opportunity for either further tree planting or recreational enjoyment. The woodland provides ideal conservation opportunities, and the existing trees provide a haven for a wide variety of fauna. There are a number of mature specimen trees, including Oak, Holly, Ash, Beech, Hazel and Sycamore.

In the Spring, there is an incredible display of bluebells on the woodland floor. There are several clearings where a hide could be installed to observe the variety of wildlife that inhabits the woodland or for private family camping. The ponds enhance the conservation interest and broaden the wildlife species with aquatic invertebrates.

There are no public rights of way crossing the property although access to both Lots is along a public Byway. There are two pylons on the land and two sets of timber poles carrying electricity cables on Lot 1.
